Dragon Keeper

I was reading the book called Dragon Keeper, I finished this book about a 2 weeks ago and forgot to hit the post button.
This book starts out with a orphan slave, that has to feed the dragons in a large dark pit.
When she was feeding the dragons she found one of them dead, So now out of the 12 imperial dragons only one remains.
Later in the book the emperor sells the last dragon to a dragon hunter named Diao. The Orphan helps the dragon and the dragon stone get away.
After this incident you find out the girls name (Ping) and the Dragons name (Long Danzi).
Ping has become the New Dragon Keeper and both Danzi and Ping set off for the ocean.......... They do have some issues on the way though.

refugee boy

Since I finished the series I was just reading I needed another book to read. I just grabbed this book off the shelf really quick.

This book is about this boy named Alem. Alem parents are from Ethiopia and Eritrean. Now these two countries are at war and his parents are either called traitors or the enemy, Alem is called a mut and is not welcome in either country.

Alem's Father took him to America so he would not be in the middle of the war between the two countries.
Little did Alem know that his father would leave him there....

Alem is put into a foster family that helps refugees like him. Alem is trying to become a Citizen in the U.S. but they keep on rejecting his case. In his second trial Alem finds out that his mother has been murdered.... Alem is very scared for his father at this point he wonders

Mary, Bloody Mary

I have finished the book Mary, Bloody Mary.

This Book is from the viewpoint of Mary when she was a little girl to adulthood.

Mary is the first daughter of King Henry the 8th and daughter of Queen Catherine. Mary was well loved my her father until Henry fell in love with his new mistress Lady Anne. Mary was sent away and declared a Bastard by her father.
Mary was forced to live in poverty in another castle far away, she was always watched by spies that Queen Anne sent.

When Queen Anne had a child ( Elizabeth) she forced Mary to take care of her as her slave.
When Lady Anne was beheaded , and when king Henry Died she was 2nd in line to have the thrown.

Doomed Queen Anne

We all know about the Beheading of Queen Anne by king Henry the 8th. Well this book is from her viewpoint.

I am reading Doomed Queen Anne right now. This book is about Anne Boleyn and her childhood, and how she seduces King Henry the 8th.

Anne was always over looked when she was a child. Her sister Mary was Beautiful and Anne.. well she was not. Her Mother wanted to send her to the nunnery since she had defects; she had a mole on her neck and an extra finger.

Anne was send off to France were she learned about manners and all the things she needed to be a " young lady". While she was learning these things her older sister Mary was the kings mistress, and bragged about it all the time. Once Mary was married off ( still the mistress to the king) she told Anne that she might be the next mistress to the king if she behaves herself and gets in good favor with the king. All that Anne says it that she does not want to be the mistress but the Queen, and that Mary wold bow down when she saw her.

Well that's about as far as I'm in the book at the moment.
I read this book before and loved it.

The City of Ember

I needed to get a book for my English class really quick.
I thought this book would be very boring but it not at all.

I'm only on page 15 but I have learned a few things about this book.
This story starts out when they are still building the city. The chief builder and the assistant builder left instructions for the city. The instructions were not to be used/know for another 200 years, so they sealed it in a time capsule set for 200 years. This capsule was presented to the Mayor of the town. It was to be kept secret from the public and to be passed from Mayor to Mayor. About 7 Mayors down the Mayor was on his death bed and thinking that the capsule would cure him, he sent people to break it open. He died before he could pass it on to the next mayor.... so it was left in a closet until it opened......
That's about as far as I am in this book I'll blog some more when I'm a little bit further in the book.

A Curse Dark a Gold

A Curse Dark as Gold is a story is a retelling of the story Rumpelstiltskin. It's about two teenage girls, Charolett and Rosie. This story starts out when Charolett and Rosie's father died and left them the wool mill. As the story progresses Charolett and Rosie finds out that their father left them a debt over 21,000 pounds( Now in that time peroid that was a lot of money). Charoletts long lost rich uncle comes to live with them to take care of them, but all he can seem to do is gamble and tell the girls to sell the mill.
Charolett also falls in love with the banker that is incharge of her debt, but she was scared that they would be unhappy (her uncles convicving). They soon get married though...

This is about as far as I'm going to tell you, your going to have to read the boook to find the rest.
